Local Eagle Scout working hard to improve Southwest Park soccer field

De Pere Select families:

My name is Adam Brada.  I am in 8th grade and have been playing soccer for De Pere Select since kindergarten.  I am also a Boy Scout working on my Eagle Scout Service Project.

Many of us play our home games at Southwest Park.  This year they are planning to put lights up on Field 1, close to the concession stand and playground.

My Eagle Scout Service Project is to install backstop poles and nets behind goals on both ends of this field, like the ones they have at Cornerstone, to keep balls from going into the playground or the parking lot.  The nets are 20 feet high and 60 feet wide.  They can be raised and lowered with a crank. This is a big project,  the nets, poles and equipment will cost about $4,500.  I am hoping to raise half the money from my family and friends.  It would be great if families from De Pere Select also contributed to help pay the other half.  We are setting up a GoFundMe campaign for the club if people want to make a donation.

Please go to and consider making a donation to help us reach our goal of $2,250.  If everyone gives a little bit we can make our fields safer and better for all of us.

Thank you,

Adam Brada
